Shipping and receiving goods.

This post is to help and protect buyers who are importing. Buyers, recently we had to provide assistance to another individual that asked for our assistance in getting a Bill of laden. If a buyer wants to control their vehicle(s) delivery once it's been shipped from export country, to lessen the responsiblity of a company providing and lower risk of delay, you or your company should insist on receiving your purchase(s) freight collect, meaning you or your company is directly responsible for paying the shipping fee. Sending funds to a company that mis allocates or delays payment to the shipping company will delay the process of receiving your purchase and add additional port and custom charges. BUT if the company still hasn't paid the customs and drayage process on the export side this could still contribute to the delay and extra fees incurred. Two things will delay container or vehicle(s) Non payment of shipping and non payment of agent or customs fees from export country. Lessen the overall risk of your purchase by taking direct responsiblity of the shipping payment to the shipping company involved.
